Lindberg

Lindberg

It was not until the beginning of the 1980's when the Danish optometrist, Paul-Jorn Lindberg needed spectacles himself that he became aware of what wearing spectacles can really be like. His views were clear:" A spectacle frame is like a scaffold, which you wear on your face-heavy, stiff and uncomfortable." Based on the idea that it must be possible to design specatcle frames in a simpler, more beautiful and more functional way, Poul-Jorn Lindberg started working with the architects, Dissing & Weitling to design a different type of spectacle and a brand new eyewear concept was born.

Lindberg frames have been awarded over 85 International Design Awards. The frames are extremely comfortable, weighing a mere 1.9 grams, while also being incredibly flexible and strong. The materials used include titanium, precious alloys and hand made acetates, which are non-allergenic, functional and hard wearing. The advanced technology is refelected in the design, in which everything superfluous-such as screws, rivets and welds have been eliminated.
